Dear readers,

Does this sound familiar? That deep sense of gratitude for the opportunity to experience so many facets of the world while travelling? Iceland’s wild nature, for example, with its hissing geysers, black beaches and galloping herds of horses, which we tell you about in this issue of our magazine. Or the charmingly crumbling splendour of Sicilian Baroque cities such as Syracuse and Noto, to which we have dedicated another article. But the barren, macchia-scented beauty of a Cycladic island like Kea also has a lot to offer, with its sunsets that will remain etched in your memory forever.
You don’t necessarily have to fly around the world to see new things. Our good old Europe, which is the focus of this magazine, offers an inexhaustible wealth of experiences. Nevertheless, we also take a peek at the rest of the world – and take you on trips to Bhutan, Canada, the South Seas and Abu Dhabi.
Our columnist Helge Sobik explores an exciting travel trend: hotels that focus on longevity. In other words, treatments that promote a healthy, long life. I think that’s a great thing. Because it keeps us fit for many, many trips. I hope you enjoy reading it!
